Still Alive! YES!
Okay this year has been fine so far apart from personal things still ongoing. This has made it a challenge to get back into the swing of things, but on a happier note I've obtained a new Graphics Tablet! Woot! It makes digital drawing easier, as my older one's sensor was kicking the tin. Had some fun drawing and colouring in Krita, so I'll put some work up on Behance when I feel its good enough to show. This will probably be the place I'll upload work to for now. However I still want to keep posting updates on here more often! :D On a current downer, my Desktop is getting repaired so project fun is happening on my laptop for the moment. My lovely computer of awesomeness (AKA Cookie Monster) should come back a better machine that hopefully doesn't need to get wiped, as that would suck major craptasticles! :(

Return post
Hi there, I'm finally back after a long absence. This is due to relocating to another place and also some other personal issues got in the way. Now I'm starting to get back into the swing of things and continue my personal projects. Now I've started a portfolio on Behance, which a majority of my work in progress and other projects will be on there.

Update and Fortunes Treasure inventory system ideas
Hi there! Lately I've been researching the RPG maker xp engine and basically getting my head around how to use it. So far I've built a few screens including the intro cutscene with a really nice camera pan.
While this is going all fine and dandy, I've also been working through some of codecademy lessons. At first I continued on with JavaScript and started in Ruby. Ruby is the programming language used in RPG maker, which is a lot easier to understand compared to JavaScript.
After much learning on several aspects of these languages, I've started to realize how much of it can be applied to the Stencyl events editor. For example in both Ruby and JavaScript, it has loops, if/else statements, booleans and print console.
Now for Fortunes Treasure, I'm going for a compass design for the inventory system. Of course this did involve researching for reference/inspiration images:
I will hand draw the concept design, scan it into the computer and further develop it in Photoshop. Also plan to hand draw the character animations first and this will be made a lot easier with the light box I'll be getting soon.

Finally another update! XD
Okay lately I haven't been that great health wise but now I'm starting to get my buzz back. However I still get tired a lot so that hasn't changed. X( Anyway recently I started playing around with RPG maker xp, which I purchased the license for. Reason is I got inspired by the many amazing games people have been making especially the pixel horrors created through this program.
I haven't forgotten about lovely Stencyl that I downloaded the latest version for. It has confused a little due to the icon for 3 being the same as 2. Probably shouldn't have assumed that! XD
In regards to projects, I've got three in mind with two being "Fortunes Treasure" and a "Milk Run" remake while the other "World Machine Xadia" (this title could change).
Fortunes Treasure I'm still going to develop in Stencyl. Now with Milk Run, I was indecisive on which program to use, as RPG maker is brilliant for this sort of game. However I feel it should be a game made in Stencyl as it was originally intended to to be. After having watched many pixel horrors, I've decided to include some horror and puzzle elements to the gameplay.
Now For WMX will be developed in RPG maker. I've been focusing on this game a lot recently with plans to include 2d animated cut scenes, my own main character sprites even try making some proper tilesets. Also will create my own character portraits in the dialogue boxes.
Also made some nice purchases: A new multi-function printer, which is a lot higher quality than my last silly one. I can scan in some nice work as I want to do some hand drawn animations. Recently acquired two sweet game development textbooks: "Game Programming Algorithms" and "Techniques and Fundamentals of Game Design". These books are pretty amazing especially the programming one can be applied to Stencyl's programming language. :)
Okay that ends the update but soon I'll put up some work in progress instead of big wordy posts. :)

Introduction
Welcome to my personal project blog. This is solely for my first game, :Fortunes Treasure work in progress which I've already started developing at TAFE. So far I've developed a game design document, a beat chart containing the first few levels and began developing it in Stencyl.
Fortunes Treasure will be a mobile app game and I have plans to publish it for the app store. More updates to come including the first concept art images.
